CenterPoint – KCS Intermodal Center

CenterPoint Properties and Kansas City Southern Railway Company are partners in developing a 1,300 acre intermodal logistics center on the site of the former Richards-Gebaur Air Force Base in South Kansas City. Selected by the Port Authority to be the master developers in 2004, CenterPoint Properties brings a wealth of experience in developing logistics parks in conjunction with an intermodal freight facility. Kansas City Southern operates the intermodal yard, as well as the mainline connections to U.S. Gulf and Mexican Pacific ports.

Taking advantage of Kansas City's central location and excellent infrastructure, the development will feature:

• A 370-acre intermodal park
• A 970-acre industrial park
• Over 5 million square feet of warehouse facilities
• Parcel sizes that can accommodate buildings ranging from 100,000 square feet to 1 million square feet
• Interstate highway and rail connections for nationwide distribution
