    The Port Authority does not currently have direct involvement in barge related activity. For assistance in this matter, please contact either Louie Aragon with U.S. Customs and Border Protection at (816) 584-1994 ext. 107 or a local commercial barge operation.

  • How do I register for TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)?

    The Port Authority does not oversee TWIC Cards. For more information, however, please visit http://twicinformation.tsa.dhs.gov or contact (866) 347-8942. The nearest TWIC office is located at: 8819 Long Street, Lenexa, KS 66215.

  • Can I reserve Berkley Riverfront Park for an event?

    Richard L Berkley Riverfront Park is available to rent for activities ranging from small gatherings to large festivals. For additional information regarding fees and terms please contact info@berkleyriverfrontpark.org or visit www.berkleyriverfrontpark.org.

  • Are Berkley Riverfront Park and the adjacent REDI (Riverfront Economic Development Initiative) site out of the flood plain?

    Yes, both sites are well above the top of the levee and have not flooded with the existing levees.

  • How do I find out about work opportunities at the former Richards-Gebaur Air Force Base?

  • How do I lease space in existing hangars at the former Richards-Gebaur Air Force Base?

    The Port Authority oversees a number of mid-Twentieth century hangars and other structures from the time period that Richards-Gebaur was an Air Force Base.   • How do I volunteer for events held on the Downtown Kansas City Riverfront?

    The Port Authority has an ongoing relationship with Friends of the River (FOR-KC) group, who oversees and/or is active in such events as KCRiverFest, River Otter Day, the Tour of Missouri and the MR340.
